CLAD stages 0 to 4 by FEV1 relative to baseline
Five severity stages, 0 to 4, defined by current FEV1 as a fraction of the post-transplant baseline.
As of . Primary source: Yoshiyasu and Sato 2020 (open access).
Summary
An open-access 2020 review lists the staging as follows: stage 0, current FEV1 above 80 percent of baseline; stage 1, above 65 to 80 percent; stage 2, above 50 to 65 percent; stage 3, above 35 to 50 percent; stage 4, 35 percent or below. The review states that the older BOS staging is no longer used because RAS is included in the CLAD criteria. These values come from the review, not from the consensus text, which was not opened.
